Privacy policy

Last updated: October 5, 2026.

This is the privacy policy for Hindsight, an app published by Radikal Studios, a sole trader business in Jamaica. It explains what information Hindsight handles, how, and what you can do about it.

The short version

Hindsight keeps everything you write on your phone. Radikal Studios does not receive, store or see your decisions, predictions, confidence ratings, notes or results.

Hindsight has no accounts, no advertising and no analytics, and it does not track you.

What information the app handles

Hindsight handles only what you enter, and it keeps all of it on your phone.

What the app does not collect

Hindsight does not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone data, or any device or advertising identifier. It does not use cookies or tracking technologies.

Hindsight does not send your information anywhere. It makes no connection to Radikal Studios or to any other server.

How your information is used

Your information is used only on your phone, to run the app: to show your decisions, to schedule reminders, and to work out your calibration results and insights. These are calculated on your phone, and nothing about them leaves it.

Sharing with other companies

Radikal Studios does not share your information with anyone, because it never receives it. Hindsight contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking tools.

Other companies are involved only when you choose to use them:

Reminders

Reminders are scheduled on your phone. Hindsight does not use a server to send them. A reminder only says how many decisions are ready, and it never shows what you wrote.

You can turn reminders off at any time in your phone's settings.

App lock

If you turn on App lock, Hindsight uses your phone's own Face ID, Touch ID or passcode check. Hindsight never receives or stores your face, your fingerprint or your passcode.

Backups and exports

A backup is a file made on your phone and locked with a key made from your passphrase. Your recovery key can also open it. Your passphrase and recovery key are never sent to Radikal Studios, so Radikal Studios cannot open or recover your backups. If you lose both, nobody can.

An export, which is a spreadsheet or a PDF, is not encrypted. Anyone who has the file can read it, so save it somewhere you trust.

Hindsight keeps a temporary copy of an export in its own private storage until you next export, and then removes it.

Purchases

Hindsight offers a one-time purchase that unlocks extra features. Apple or Google handles the payment. Radikal Studios does not see or store your payment details, your name, or your Apple or Google account.

How long information is kept, and how to delete it

Your information stays on your phone until you delete it. To delete all of it, open Settings, then Delete all my data. Deleting Hindsight from your phone also removes its data from the phone.

Backup and export files you saved somewhere else are not removed when you do this, so delete them yourself where you saved them.

Because Radikal Studios does not hold your information, it cannot delete it for you, and there is nothing to ask us to delete.

You can withdraw your permission for reminders, and for Face ID, at any time in your phone's settings.

Children

Hindsight is a personal journal and is not designed for children. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it collects no personal information at all.

Changes to this policy

If Hindsight changes how it handles information, this policy will be updated and the date below will change. If a change would affect your information, the app will tell you.
