Pelt! is a game made by Radikal Studios, a registered business in Jamaica ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the game uses, why, and the choices you have. We keep it simple: you can play Pelt! without giving us any personal information at all.
1. Information kept only on your phone
Your game progress is saved on your own device and is not sent to us. This includes your coins, catapult upgrades, best scores, achievements, unlocked looks, and settings (sound, vibration, graphics). If you delete the app, this information is deleted with it.
2. The online leaderboard (optional)
The leaderboard is optional. If you choose to join it, we collect and store:
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| The leaderboard name you choose | To show your scores to other players |
| Your best score on each difficulty, the number of stones used, and when it was set | To rank players and to spot impossible (cheated) scores |
| A random player ID and a secret key created by the game | So only your phone can send scores under your name. We store the key in a scrambled (hashed) form. |
We do not ask for your real name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or location. Please don't use your real full name or other personal details as your leaderboard name. Your leaderboard name and scores are visible to everyone who plays Pelt!.
When the game talks to our leaderboard server, your internet (IP) address is used to deliver the connection and to limit abuse such as spam. Our hosting provider, Railway, may keep it in standard server logs for a short time. We do not use it to identify you.
3. Advertising
Pelt! is free and shows ads, including optional ads you can choose to watch for a reward (for example, extra time and stones). Ads are provided by Google AdMob. Google may collect information such as your device's advertising identifier, IP address and general device information to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, and measure how ads perform. On iPhone, you will be asked whether to allow tracking, and you can say no and still play. Where required (for example, in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), you will be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown. You can learn more in how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
4. Purchases
Optional purchases (such as art styles) are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play. They process your payment; we never see or store your payment details. We only receive confirmation that a purchase was made so the game can unlock it.
5. How long we keep information
Leaderboard information is kept until you delete it, or until we remove it for breaking our Terms of Use. Information stored on your phone stays there until you delete the app.
6. Deleting your information
You can delete your leaderboard name and all your leaderboard scores at any time in the game: open Settings and tap Delete my name and scores. This takes effect straight away. If you no longer have the app, email us with your leaderboard name and we will delete it for you.
7. Children
Pelt! is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has joined the leaderboard, contact us and we will remove their information.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under Jamaica's Data Protection Act, 2020, you may have the right to ask what information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how it is used. Contact us to make a request. Because we hold so little about you, the quickest route is usually the in-game delete option.
9. Security
Leaderboard information is sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections and stored with our hosting provider. Player keys are stored in hashed form. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect the little information we hold.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the app's update notes.
